Ages ago, I read a book called The Sensual Home by Brit designer Ilsa Crawford.  When I look around at my home now, I can see so much of that book’s influence on me: from the scented candles that are my obsession, to my happy place tray of beach stones and shells, to the throws and blankets you see in every room.   I’d never thought about the importance of texture in a home, but Ilsa brought it home with the charcoal grey, velvety cover on the book.

Not too long ago, I got a great faux fur throw, on sale, from Calypso Home.  More texture, more warmth, more of the influence of Ilsa.
