Kiki & Coco in Paris

This book came out two years ago, but it is still one of my favorite gifts to give.  It’s like a modern day, girly version of the Red Balloon.  And I think that I love it not only because it is set in Paris, but because every time I read it, it reminded me of being a little girl and how I felt closer to my dolls than I did to some of my friends.

Stephanie Rausser’s photographs, of her own daughter, are almost like movie stills. Coco, a doll created by the very talented Jess Brown, is adorable. Jess’ dolls are now available where all great toys are to be found, at Land of Nod.
