This. Bag. Is. It.  Those amazing women at MZ Wallace have partnered with the truly extraordinary artist Glenn Ligon for a Limited Edition tote.

The Metro Tote is silk-screened with a print from his piece Untitled (I Am Somebody.)  It costs $250, but get this — all proceeds, every single dime — goes to the Studio Museum in Harlem’s extraordinary arts education program.

Recently I had the amazing opportunity to view a show at the museum where the works of New York City high school students were hung side by side with prints by the great Harlem Renaissance photographer James Van Der Zee.  The show was breathtaking.  As is this bag.  Doing good, looking good. Rocking the present while paying homage to the past and paving the way for the future. That’s what Glenn, the MZ Wallace girls and this bag is all about.
