A few years ago, I had the great pleasure of having lunch at Ina Garten’s house.  How to say thank you?  Lord knows, she’s gotten better flowers than I could send.  She deserves, but doesn’t need, a gold-plated whisk.  But what I noticed, watching her cook, and seeing her beautiful dining room, is that she could probably use a great CD: something French and modern and chic.  Good for cooking, but also mellow enough to play in the background as guests arrived.  I sent her this CD and she loved it.  The thank you note I got from her is one of the highlights of my entire Gifty McGifty career.
